Excellent location just opposite from the train station and close to the town centre. Clean modern room and no noise. Couldn't fault it for the price paid.
Used this as overnight accommodation when visiting Cardiff. Staying here was a lot cheaper for about the same level of comfort, and only a short drive onwards to get where I needed to be. Room was basic, but perfectly well suited as somewhere to rest overnight. Sometimes it pays (literally) to think outside the box and stay a bit further out from where you are headed.
First time staying tonight in the travel lodge and what a welcoming we had both Shereene & Angelina gave me & my partner Tony a warm welcoming from the minute we booked they went above and beyond for us, very accommodating, friendly, good at their job and very helpful, thanks again ladies will defo recommend too others
Over all very pleasant experience room was always clean plenty clean linen bed was quite comfortable

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that this is a 5 star hotel with my rating, I'm comparing apples to apples, it's a great place to stay if all you need is a place to crash after an event or night out in the fun and "interesting" town of Newport. It's a typical Travelodge, good staff, clean and good value. It's over the road from the railway station, so very convenient access by train. It even has an "interesting" Weatherspoons over the road, great for "stereotype people watching"
Excellent hotel excellent location the star for absolutely superb couldn't go any further to help if they tried never had such an excellent experience with Travelodge before but would definitely stay there again as the staff was absolutely superb from the general manager greeting me at reception to the reception staff give me the extra half hour to leave absolutely superb recommended to anybody
This is a budget hotel,but has a brilliant location,with rooms that are clean and tidy with a comfortable bed.Tea making facilities,with a great surplus of makings,all you have to do is ask.If you require a ironing board and iron just ask. The staff are so helpful it's unbelievable,the only member of staff with purple hair,the only one, was so helpful and cheerful in her job, a credit to Travelodge. This is also located in a central location for anything in Newport.
